The day next our arriving was overcast, less color, less tourist and less wind. I got up early to find some unique scenes which are prepared for those Early Bird like me, and I’m sure that I found an exact early bird on the rock.
Chengkan is a kindly village except for some security guards, they always asked me to show my ticket when I wandering in there, to be honest, that was annoying.
Many ancient towns in Southern Anhui were formed in Min and Qing Dynasty, Chengkan is one of them. Different with Jiangsu and Zhejiang’s so-called Ancient Towns ( lacking local residents but only commercial towns ), here is a real and vivid town, those residents are living and working here, some of them inherit their ancestors’ skill or techniques just like wood carving, food making, buildings…etc.
