Picocoon, some say pico-coon, some say pi-cocoon, what is my actual intention ? In fact it’s Pico-cocoon, I am one of photographers in the world, just like a tiny star in our universe, and here is my sweet home, although it is very small but I feel comfortable and safe, so I decided calling it - Cocoon, I am the worm in the cocoon hoping to become a butterfly someday.

I got a runner up of this month’s assignment in Landscape Photograph Magazine.
You may have seen it before in my blog, it’s one of my Visional Plum Series. I used twigs as foreground and middle ground, sparkling bokeh as background to depict the depth, only three low-saturated colors of green red and white to simplify the construction ( as you know, colors are important elements of construction ). The comment of DAN BAILEY are very sharp and accurate. But I think my works is better than the winner of this assignment.

本月英国摄影杂志的指定主题的评比我用这个作品获得了亚军，冠军奖品是X100F……让我想到了Top Gun里面的台词： There is no point for second place!。亚军没有意义。其实我觉得我的比冠军作品好，你们怎么看？

Winner’s works
You may know dog has expressions, so does cat actually.
I began recording Douzi’s expressions from 2013, this project has not been added to my website, I will continue updating those expressions in here - my blog, and I add tags of “expression“ and “Douzi”, so you can find them easily. You’ll find that cats have so many expressions like curiosity, calm, exiting, serious…etc.
Different from human, cats express them not only on face but also ( maybe mostly ) by using their body gestures.
我从2013年开始记录豆子的表情，也是从那个时候才意识到，其实猫的表情之丰富不亚于狗，我暂时还没有打算把它们整理成一个项目，只是会在这里不断更新。与人不同，猫的表情不仅仅通过面部，更多是通过身体语言来表现。
为了方便寻找，我给这个系列开始增加了标签——“豆子”“表情”。
